When life dumps on you

I have a friend who has been having a tough time lately.  I spent part of last weekend racking my brain wondering what I could do to make a masculine card. (not my strong suit...cards and masculine stuff. Double whammy)  This is what I came up with.  The more I look at it the more I like it.  I hope it makes his day.

S is for Saturday, Scrappin', and Stampadoodle

Today I spent the day at my favorite scrapbook store with one of my favorite people. My friend Alisha and I spent the day at Stampadoodle in Bellingham; playing with our blogs, making cards and shopping of course.  Stampadoodle is pretty much the best place in town to buy paper.  They carry all my favorites like Bo Bunny. They are always bringing in  new products and have great demos and classes.  The second Saturday of the month they do a 12 hour crop, 10am to 10pm for $10.00. It's put on by Laurie, who is an awesome teacher with great ideas.  Not a bad deal! It's one of the best days of the month for me. I have made so many great friends there.  Thanks Stampadoodle for everything!

Alisha and I working away on our blogs

The best part of my day was going through all the loot that Alisha scored at a scrapbook garage yesterday.  She picked up a ton of stuff but the biggest score was a bunch of Teresa Collins paper.

My very first post!

For my very first post I  decided to upload some of my favorite pages.   Some of them are so old  that I can't remember what I used to create them.  The ones that  do remember however I will give credit where credit is due.

For my peacock pages I used paper from the DCWV stack All Dressed UP, by far one of my favorites.

My accents are self adhesive buttons and bubble caps from Epiphany Cafe. I used the left overs from the pictures that I cropped of the peacocks tales .  The stamped images are Close to My Heart stamps decorated with a little bling.

This page is 100% Stampin' Up

The next three pages are all Basic Grey paper, one of my favorites! I love their patterns and colors!

Right now I am into making layouts with photo blocks.  I love designing layouts where everything fits just so.

I don't usually use stickers but when I do I use the Me&My Big Ideas Soft Spoken stickers.  I think they are very cute and classy.  The pages that I use them on I love.

For our first dance together as a married couple I decided to type out the lyrics to the song we danced to, The Proms-The one.   Not your typical wedding song which I loved, and the lyrics are wonderful.  I wanted to make sure that we never forget that moment and that song.

Must of these pages are in books with page protectors so I apologise that the quality isn't perfect.  If anyone has any tips on photographing layouts Please Help!!  I am new at this and any advice would be much appreciated.  Thanks for reading.
