JME Creations Design Team Post! A Little Pink And Brown!

Another DT post with color!

PINK and BROWN anyone?

This was not the project I started, 

but it is the project I finished.

It actually came together pretty quickly 

and I love my finished product.

My sentiment is "Card Chatter" from CTMH.

I found some old paper flowers laying around and added some cute buttons in the middle.

I used my Best Of 2010 cart for my butterfly

and doodled a little bit to take up some negative space.

This card again has a lot of firsts for me. 

This is my first step card

 and my first time using Copics (For the most part)

I think I need some advice before I tackle this type of card again.

This is where I need your help.  

I pretty much just winged it for the measurements of this card.

Can anyone share with my some accurate measurements?

I love them!

Making this card was both fun and challenging.  

I do think it turned out pretty cute for my first attempt.

JME Creations Design Team Post! The Orange Circle!

For this DT post we were to make a project with an ORANGE circle.

It could be anywhere anyhow as long as there is an ORANGE circle.

I won a gift card to Pink By Design.

I bought the "Just Breath" set. 

When I saw this sentiment I knew right away what I wanted to do.

Here is my hot air balloon card.  

I didn't have a Cricut cart with a hot air balloon, 

so I used my Tis the Season cart and turned an ornament into my balloon.

I through in some clouds with a silver lining because who doesn't want a silver lining!

As you can see my balloon has two and half ORANGE circles.

On to the my project!

I made a card that I thought would go perfect with the theme.

After all forty is the new thirty right?

So Nicole, 

It's your night to go out and be fabulous!

  

To make this totally cute card I used Recollections card stock, 

Imaginisce flowers and bling

My most favorite is the corset stamp from The Rubber Cafe!

I stamped it on black card with The Rubber Cafe's Scrap Happy Glue.

(Super awesome Scrap Happy Glue)

I used the Rubber Cafe's You're So Fine Glitter to rub over the stamped corset

once the glue was tacky.

 The pictures don't do this card justice.  

The corset really did turn out amazing!

Cricut Tricks and Tips

Make sure you check out her blog and show her some love!

Do you like the look of a shadow, 

but the font you have chosen on your Cricut cartridge doesn't have a shadow?  

Just cut out 2 of the same letter or word, 

the same size in different colors and layer them together.  

Pull the top one to one side or the other just a little so it looks like a shadow.  

  Easy fix for a big problem.  Hope you enjoy my tip.

Tips for Tuesday!

Recharge your Cricut Mats!

My crafty buddies Alisha and Kacee shared with me an awesome tip

on how to make your Cricut mats sticky again.

I had no idea you could use your Jumbo Zig Pen
to make your mat sticky again!

Just rub the glue all over your mat, 

let it sit over night 

and 

BAM!

All is right with your Cricut mat!

FYI:  If your machine is still under warranty this will void the warranty.
